    As an owner of a 997, I would suggest installing a rear bumper guard, The cost of a new engine cover is staggering,

    I completely agree with your last comment. If anyone in the know buys a 997, they will opt for the suspension seat. I wasn't and I didn't. It's not a bad ride without the suspension seat on the part of my property where the turf is putting-green smooth, but in other areas which were formerly fields, it will practically make your teeth rattle out. It makes me want to get the suspension seat retrofit kit pronto.

    I have a 997, too, and LOVE it passionately. I use it on our 39 acre property about 2-3 weekly. It's one of my chores I actually look forward to doing. My only regret is that I didn't opt for the 72" deck. Having the deck extend well past the wheel width would make mowing tight areas much easier and would make for less time having to finish off with a string trimmer.

    I welded 2 u shaped handles on the top of the tank so I can lift the tank with a strap. When I buy fuel I transfer the tank to a dolly to make it easier to move.

    I have same setup. I used a GPI easy 8 pump. I have mine mounted to a pallet setting on a second pallet with casters so I can move it around the garage. Works out great.

    Hi Tim, on a 318D skidsteer my fuel primer plunger has partially has broken off just below the black primer knob. Would this have happened from too much water in the filter. It hasn't broken off completely.

    Good video but you might want to add to drop it on a level and firm surface. If the bucket settles because it is on soft dirt, gravel ect it is a big problem to re attach and if it is a larger series loader you might be out there with jacks and come a longs getting it reattached.

    • @TimsJDadventures
      @TimsJDadventures 9 років тому

      +compaq2441 You are right.. I should've added that but I never had any trouble with leaving this loader on uneven ground it's so lightweight you would have to park it on really unstable ground/mud for it to give you any problems I think.

    • @compaq2441
      @compaq2441 9 років тому

      Your absolutely right with the 2520 series loaders they can be "manhandled" up to the bottom pin by one person. That being said on a 3000 or 4000 series loader ( x300 buckets or bigger) you are not going to move them without mechanical assistance.Its just a easy habit to remember to do. One other tip is you only really need to support the rear support the bucket will stay put in pretty much any muck the rear will sink quick since it is just a bar to hold the weight . keep up the good work your videos are really very informative.

    My understanding is that the last or outer 1/8" of the blade is what actually cuts the grass. Just need to make sure the edges are square to each other. The rest of the tapered flange is just used for air lift of the grass. Minor imperfections there are just that, minor. Thank you for your video. I also have a 2520. It is a back saver and jobs are now getting done that would not if it was not for the tractor.
